Definition and purpose of cookies

What are cookies? A cookie is a file that is downloaded to the user’s device when certain web pages are accessed. Cookies enable a website, among other things, to store and recover information about the browsing habits of users or their devices and, depending on the information they contain and the way the device is used, can be used to recognise the user.

What type of cookies does this web site use?

Proprietary cookies: These cookies are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain managed by the web site editor and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third party cookies: These cookies are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain that is not managed by the web site editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

Session cookies: A type of cookie designed to request and store data while the user accesses a web page.

Persistent cookies: A type of cookie in which the data continues to be stored on the user’s device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the person or entity responsible for the cookie, which may be a few minutes or several years.

Analysis cookies: These are used by MMConnecta or by third parties to enable the number of users to be quantified and thus statistically measure and analyse the use that users make of the service offered. To do this, Users’ browsing on a web site is analysed with the aim of improving the company’s product and service offering.

Advertising cookies: These cookies enable the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, if applicable, the web site publisher has included on a web page, application or platform from which the service requested is provided based on criteria such as the content published or the frequency with which the advertisements are shown.

Behavioural advertising cookies: These cookies enable, in the most effective manner possible, the management of advertising spaces that, if applicable, the publisher has included on a web site, application or platform from which the service requested is provided. These cookies store information about user behaviour obtained through continual observation of their browsing habits, which enables a specific profile to be developed to show advertising based on this behaviour.

It is also possible that a cookie will be installed in your browser on visiting a web site or opening an email in which an advertisement or promotion about our products is published, which will enable advertising related to the user’s search to be shown, or the advertisements to be controlled in relation to, for example, the number of times they are seen, where they appear, the time they are seen, etc.

Deactivating or deleting cookies

You have the option to enable, block or delete the cookies installed on your device by configuring the options in the browser. If your device does not allow cookies in your browser, it is possible that you may not be able to access some sections of the website.
